About the Founder

Millard ArterberryWelcome to the Garden Of Eden Project. My name is Millard Nathan Arterberry Jr., and I founded the GOEP after many years of my heart gnawing at me to make some attempt to speak my truth to the world at large.

I was born in San Diego, California in 1968, where I grew up and currently reside. I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1995 with a degree in Architecture, and have been working in the architectural profession in the San Diego area since 1997. I have an absolutely wonderful wife and an absolutely wonderful daughter, and life is good.

In my spiritual life I was raised a Roman Catholic, but I no longer practice this faith. I have studied and practiced the teachiings of many esoteric traditions, including the Qabbala, Hermeticism and Wicca. I have also studied several of the major religions. It was not until intuitively developed meditations to open my heart to unconditional love for the entire Universe that I had my biggest breakthroughs.

Once I read The Secret, I realized from that point forward the The Power of Manifestation had been democratized, and was no longer the sole province of a few secretive cults, but to anyone who chose to believe in the power of intention. The Secret was a fantastic introduction to the path of empowerment for the world at large.

At its core The Garden Of Eden Project is a grand experiment in the Law of Attraction at the planetary level. Despite all of the challenges we face as a species, can we manifest our Garden of Eden? I truly believe so, but it will take a clear vision and alignment with love.

In my youth I knew many good people in my parish, most of whom would give you the shirt off their back if you asked them. They weren't heroes, they were just folks whose generosity of heart make me stand in humbled awe of them to this day. I don't know if I could ever be as openhearted as they were, but I know I will never, ever discriminate against anyone on the basis of their religious faith, even if myself and organized religion parted ways a long time ago. Being a person whose mother and father were of two different races, any form of racial intolerance is also abhorrent to me. The Garden Of Eden Project will always be open to anyone of good will who would see this beleagured planet and our somewhat confused species be at their best.
